General concept and tasks of the Council

The Students’ Council for International Relations under the auspices of the Union of Armenian Orientalists (hereinafter referred to as the Council) aims to unite the potential of Armenian students in research and scientific activities, as well as to create a network of young professionals in the fields of Oriental Studies and International Relations.
The Council members are students and young orientalists, political scientists, lawyers, economists, as well as experts in other fields of social sciences. The main areas of professional focus of the Council are scientific research, as well as analytical and educational activities in the fields of Oriental Studies and International Relations. Having a wider range of interests in these areas, the Council pays special attention to the study of geopolitical developments in the South Caucasus related to Armenia and Artsakh.
The Council organizes regular courses and seminars on the matters of professional interest that are delivered by qualified professionals for the members of the Council and the Union of Armenian Orientalists within the framework of its ongoing programs and calls for research. In addition, the Council aims to strengthen the relationship between university students of Armenia and Artsakh.
